Tremissis of Phocas that comes from the so-called “Asklepieion's hoard B”. On the obverse side of the coin the bust of Phocas facing right is portrayed. The emperor is clad in a chlamys and has a diadem on his head. The legend around the bust reads QNF[OCA]S PERAVC, meaning “Our Lord Phocas, Perpetuus Augustus”. On the reverse a cross consisting of two intersecting lines both ending in vertical small bars (cross potent) is depicted. The legend on this side reads VICTORIFOCASAVG, meaning “victory of Phocas Augustus”. The exergue states: CONOB, a reference to Constantinople's mint where the coin was struck.
