Part of a Kore statue of a smaller scale which has been mended from two fragments. The Kore is dressed in a chiton that she would have pulled to the side to facilitate her step, as the curvature of her garment’s folds indicates. Over her chiton she wears a himation which falls from her shoulders creating vertical pleats of uneven length.

The fire traces on the marble’s surface were probably caused when the Persians set fire to the Acropolis in 480 BC.
