Amphora handle with rectangular stamp from Knidos. It was found in 1957 in the west Roman cistern on the south slope of the Acropolis.

It bears the inscription ΚΝΙΔΙΩΝ ΕΠΙ ΕΡ[Μ]ΩΝ[ΟΣ] ΠΟΛΥΝΙΚ[ΟΣ]. First is included the ethnic name “Knidians” followed by the names of the Eponymous Archon and the vase’s potter. In the second line between the letters is a grape cluster emblem, as stamps on transport amphora handles usually included some sort of symbol.
