It was found in 1957 in the east Roman cistern on the south slope of the Acropolis. Part of the shaft is missing. The oval blade has a central crosswise rib and the cylindrical shaft is decorated with projecting rings.

Such spatulas were used for mixing and applying cosmetic substances, unguents or pharmaceuticals.
