Black-glazed pyxis mended from two pieces. It was found in 1957 on the Acropolis south slope. It is ring-footed, with rounded lower body set off with a narrow grooved flange from the upper high, slightly tapering, wall that receives the lid. The glazing that covers the vessel varies from brown to black due to the firing condition in the kiln.
