Part of a loutrophoros' body decorated in the red-figure technique, found in the Sanctuary of the Nymphe.

It presents the bride getting ready for the wedding. The young woman is sitting on a chair, timidly lowering her head as a small winged Eros is about to crown her with a wreath. On her hair she is wearing a band decorated with leaves. A woman behind her, with a similar hair band, approaches holding a small box decorated with branches. Green branches and wreaths that were used on wedding decorations symbolise prosperity and fertility in marital life.
