Part of a loutrophoros' body decorated in the red-figure technique. It was found in fragments in 1957 at the Sanctuary of the Nymphe, was pieced together and restored.

It depicts a bride in the women's chambers getting ready before the wedding. The young woman is just getting up from the chair she was sitting so that her friends and family could help her get ready. She is holding a white ribbon and has her face uncovered although her veil is already placed on her head and a woman is arranging its folds on her back. A second woman in front of the bride is carrying a small box and a third one is holding a kalathos. The scene is completed with a winged figure that stands in front of the room’s door holding a small box and a ribbon. This figure might symbolise the bride’s “flying off” towards her new married life.
