Part of a loutrophoros' neck decorated in the red-figure technique. It was found in fragments in 1957 in the Sanctuary of the Nymphe, and was reassembled and restored.

A white wavy line decorates the rim and a narrow band with meander the upper part of the neck. The main scene on the neck depicts a loutrophoria procession. A standing woman, wearing chiton and himation and having a ribbon in her hair, looks backwards. She is chosen by the bride’s family to carry the decorated loutrophoros-hydria containing water for the nuptial bath. Four women, with fine ribbons in their hair, follow her, all walking briskly and gesturing animatedly.
