A glimpse of the ancient neighbourhood, stretching under the Acropolis Museum, unfolds in the pages of the excavation’s archaeological guide. Accompanied by rich iconographic material -photographs, plans, drawings and reconstructions- it recreates the history of the site and provides important information about streets and their infrastructure, houses and luxurious mansions, water and its distribution, public and private baths, latrines, workshops, inaugurations and cemeteries of people who resided at the shadow of the Acropolis rock for more than 4,500 years.
