Black-glazed multi-nozzle lamp found during one of the Acropolis excavation campaigns.

The body has a curved profile and the rim is concave with raised wall around the filling-hole. It has many wick-holes around the rim (of which about forty-three survive) as well as the open round centre. The latter either facilitated the lamp’s suspension or was intended to be set on a lamp-stand. Black, fine, paint covers the whole lamp except for its base.
