It was found almost intact in 1956 in the east Roman cistern on the south slope of the Acropolis.

It is round-bottomed with ovoid body, wide outturned rim and vertical handles. The body decorate horizontal grooves.

Miniature cooking casseroles imitated normal-size cooking pots, which is the simplest and oldest as well as commonest cooking ware. Such miniatures were possibly also used for everyday household needs and may have functioned as children toys too.
