Loutrophoros-hydria decorated in the black-figure technique. It was found in 1957 in the Sanctuary of the Nymphe and was reassembled and restored.

The rim and base of the vase are covered with black bands. Added white and deep red colour was used to render details of the painted decoration. On the neck a woman wearing a long dress -probably the bride- is depicted welcoming three women. They are all dressed in peplos and himation and wear a hairband, while long ribbons referencing the wedding are hanging between them. On the vessel’s body, on the main side, a procession of four women is depicted and on the other side birds flank the vertical handle. Lastly, under the horizontal handles Sirens are depicted and below them is a band with rosettes and rays.
