Bibliography

Black-glazed lekanis mended from many fragments and restored. It was found in 1957 on the south slope of the Acropolis. Its deep body rests on ring-foot and the upper walls are wider than the lower. The rim inset received the vessels’s lid. The pot belongs to the type of ‘pyre lekanis’ used during the enactment of foundation ritual.
