Red-figure bell krater found in 1959 on the south slope of the Acropolis in many fragments; it was then mended and restored.

Its foot is ring-shaped, the body deep, the rim flaring with round projecting lip. Two lug handles adjust to the body. On the front of the vase a girl plays the clappers before two men with staffs and the goddess Athena who has her helmet on and holds a round shield. On the left two inscriptions read ΑΝΤΙΚΡΑ and ΟΙΚΡΙ. On the back of the vase a woman stands in the centre flanked by two men draped in their himatia with bands around their heads. The man to the viewer’s right holds a staff. An aryballos hangs in the background, between the woman and the second man. Crosses, meander and leaves adorn the lowest and upper parts of the vase’s body respectively.
