Handmade jar, without handles. It was found almost intact in 1965 in a well on the Acropolis west slope, close to the Beulé gate.

Its base is rounded, the body globular and its neck wide with slightly concave profile. Two round holes are opened through two triangular projections on the inside of the mouth. These holes facilitated the pot’s suspension with a cord or rope. The outer pot surface as well as the inside of the rim and neck are burnished and retain traces of red-brown slip. Quite a few parts of the vessel are intensely burnt.

It was used for storing, transporting or serving solids or liquids.
