Fragment of a plinth preserving the hoof of a horse. The hoof is slightly raised from the ground and retains traces of red colour. A drill in its centre may suggest an ancient repair. This hoof has been attributed to the right front leg of the horse Ακρ. 697, along with the hoof of the right hind leg Ακρ. 573. Its smaller size, however, as well as the thicker plinth it stands on, create reasonable doubt.

According to some researchers the horse that this hoof belongs to comes from a sculptural composition that decorated the pediment of an Acropolis' building. To this same group belong the fragments of a young man and a horse Ακρ. 571 and Ακρ. 574, the statue of the goddess Athena Ακρ. 142, and the fragments of the kneeling youths Ακρ. 160 and Ακρ. 168.
