Statue of an owl made of poros limestone and fragmentarily preserved. It is reassembled from many fragments and a big portion of the body has been restored with plaster. The owl is depicted with folded wings. The details of the head and the feathering are rendered with incisions. Traces of black colour are discerned on the left wing and previous researchers state that there used to be traces of white colour on the belly and red on the beginning of the legs.

It has been suggested that the owl accompanied the statue of the goddess Athena and comes from the pedimental sculptures of the Hekatompedon.
