Head of a female Tanagra figurine found in 1957 in the Sanctuary of the Nymphe. It comes from a loutrophoros of the 4th cent. BC decorated in the red-figure technique and added figurines.

It depicts a young woman, slightly turning her head towards the right. Her himation is drawn over her head but leaves her face uncovered. She was probably a bride depicted after the gesture of revealing. The head was made in a mould and retains traces of white slip and ochre.
