How did the inhabitants of the ancient neighborhood that spreads out underneath the Acropolis Museum live? How did they deal with their daily needs, equip their homes and worship their gods? What were the occupations of men, women and children?
A 4,500-year-old story unfolds in the streets and the ruins of the houses of the archaeological excavation, but also through the 1,150 objects –selected out of the thousands– left behind by the people who were born, lived and created in this part of ancient Athens. The archaeologists of the Museum are waiting for you to join them in discovering a charming world, distant and at the same time familiar.
