Hermes and the Acropolis

Hermes, the most familiar of the gods to humans, appears in every corner of Attica, without a temple of his own, but in many depictions and with altars dedicated to him. He was present on the Acropolis from very early on in many forms. Visitors will have the opportunity to become familiar with his inventive, intermediary and protective side in the sanctuaries of the Acropolis, through the collection of its Museum.
