On the Acropolis, Artemis, known as the goddess of hunting and wild nature, protects birth and coming of age. Inscriptions, votive offerings, and representations of Artemis, along with rich visual material, will reveal this particular quality of the goddess and her relation to the capacities attributed to her in other parts of the ancient Greek world.
