Artemis and the Acropolis

On the Acropolis, Artemis, known as the goddess of hunting and wild nature, protects birth and coming of age. Inscriptions, votive offerings, and representations of Artemis, along with rich visual material, will reveal this particular quality of the goddess and her relation to the capacities attributed to her in other parts of the ancient Greek world.

Duration: 40 minutes

Participation: Limited to 30 visitors per session. For registration, please refer to the Information Desk at the Museum entrance on the same day. The gallery talk is free of charge. Only the admission fee to the permanent exhibition is required (5 euros).
