Part of the right hand of a statue mended of two joining fragments. It is preserved from the wrist to the fingers which are clenched inwards. The figure must have held an object that fitted into the drill opened through the fist. The hand may have belonged to a rider and resting on the latter’s right thigh gripped the horse’s rein.

The marked traces of fire on the marble surface are most possibly the result of the Acropolis destruction by the Persians in 480 BC.
