Right leg of a small size female statue, a Kore, standing on a plinth.

The figure wears long chiton that creates fine wavy wrinkles and gradating folds between the feet. Her toes are elongated and slender and the second toe is a little longer than the first. The burning traces on the marble surface most possibly relate to the destruction of the Acropolis by fire during the Persian invasion in 480 BC.

This leg as well as a calf fragment (Ακρ. 343) kept in the Museum storerooms have both been connected with the Kore Ακρ. 687 that has been given to the National Archaeological Museum of Athens on a long term loan.
