Cooking pots are the most commonly cooking vessels throughout antiquity. This cooking pot was retrieved in 1961 during the excavation of the Angelopoulos plot to the south of the Acropolis. It is mended from many fragments and restored.

It is round-bottomed so that it could be placed over a brazier. The body is globular, the handles vertical and the lip everted. Big parts of the vessel surface bear intense fire traces because of its direct contact with flames during cooking.
