Almost intact askos possibly of Cycladic origin. It was found intact in 1963 in a pit close to the Sanctuary of Asklepios on the south slope of the Acropolis.

Its body is globular and equipped in the middle with two horizontal projections instead of handles. The askew low neck ends in a wide mouth shaped as a beak. The hole opened through the back of the neck facilitated the vessel’s suspension with a cord or rope. The exterior is burnished and covered in brown-black paint.
