Women at the Acropolis Museum

A stroll among the appealing and distinctive female figures of the Acropolis Museum. Visitors will discuss the position of women in ancient Athens, their relation to worship, their various representations in the art of the area, and the significance that the goddesses and heroines of the Acropolis held for the Athenians, with the Museum’s Archaeologist-Hosts.

Duration: 50 minutes

Participation:  Limited to 30 visitors per session. For registration, please refer to the Information Desk at the Museum entrance on the same day. The gallery talk is free of charge. Only the admission fee to the permanent exhibition is required (5 euros).
