Nature at the Acropolis Museum: Plants

Usually hidden in the details of buildings, vessels and marble fabrics, the Museum’s plants surprise the viewer who discovers them with their elegance and their frequent appearance. Visitors will explore ancient flora and its uses in ancient times as reflected in the exhibits of the Museum and in the corners of its modern garden. They will discuss its presence in ancient Athens, the role it played in the life of the Athenians and the reasons for its presence in art.
