Sparkling stories about fire

The Acropolis Museum selects exhibits and organizes narrations by its Archaeologist-Hosts about fire in everyday life, myth, religion and philosophy. These gallery talks are taking place on the occasion of the National Holiday of 28 October and the national campaign entitled “Environment and Culture” initiated by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Tourism from Thursday 11 October to Sunday 14 October 2012.

Thursday 11 & Friday 12 October: narrations for school groups by reservation only on +30 210 9000903.

9:00 a.m. - 4 groups of 25 children
10:00 a.m. - 2 groups of 25 children
11:00 a.m. - 4 groups of 25 children
12 noon - 2 groups of 25 children

Saturday 13 & Sunday 14 October 2012: narrations for adult groups on a first-in first served basis.

5:00 p.m. - 1 group of 25 people in Greek
5:30 p.m. - 1 group of 25 people in Greek
6:00 p.m. - 1 group of 25 people in English
6:30 p.m. - 1 group of 25 people in Greek
6:45 p.m. - 1 group of 25 people in Greek

Gallery talks will take place every hour, starting from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., on a first-in first-served basis. For registration, please refer to the Information Desk at the Museum entrance on the same day. On this day, entry will be free for all visitors from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. 
 

Visitors unable to participate in the organized narrations can collect a leaflet that will help them navigate freely and locate the exhibits associated with the subject of this program.
