The Acropolis Museum participates in the celebration of European Heritage Days 2023, by organizing the family program “Looking for today in yesterday’s stories”. The program follows this year’s pan-European theme “Living Heritage and Tradition. Testimonies of Yesterday in Today”. Guided by the fantastic diary of Pheida, a young Athenian of the 5th cent. BC, children approach the Museum’s exhibits from a different perspective. They listen to stories from ancient times, explore myths, learn about ancient customs, needs and beliefs and connect them to today’s times. In the end, they fill their own “time capsule” with everything they would like to preserve for future generations. The program is held in Greek only.

On the occasion of this year’s celebration, on Sunday 24 September 2023, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., entrance to the Museum exhibition areas will be free for visitors.
