Part of a plinth preserving the feet of a youth and the right foreleg of a horse. It was reassembled out of seven fragments.

The animal is heading left, while the youth turns towards it, most likely holding its reins. The young man has his left foot firmly planted on the ground and his right rising a bit as he moves forward. His toes are long and lean and although the phalanxes are depicted the toe nails are not. Another fragment (Ακρ. 574) is attributed to the horse next to him preserving the hooves of the hind legs.

According to some researchers, Ακρ. 571 comes from a sculptural composition that used to decorate a pediment of a building on the Acropolis. The horse Ακρ. 697 with its fragments Ακρ. 572 and Ακρ. 573, the statue of Athena Ακρ. 142, as well as the fragments of the crouching men Ακρ. 160 and Ακρ. 168 have been associated with the same pediment.
