The head belongs to a figurine that depicts a goddess. It was found during one of the Acropolis excavation expeditions.
The face is oblong, the eyes almond-shaped with heavy lids and the lips full. Her wavy hair, which protrudes all along the edge of her headdress, a high polos with three vertical bands on its front, is parted in the middle. The figurine retains traces of white slip.
