Loutrophoros-hydria decorated in the black-figure technique found in 1937 on the north slope of the Acropolis. It has been mended from many fragments and restored.

On the neck, four women in procession carry wreaths. On the front of the vase, two women stand opposite each other, each with a wreath in her hands. On the vase’s back, two standing men, facing opposite directions, frame the bird beneath the vertical strap handle. Two panthers are depicted on the sides, each one under one of the small vertical loop handles that rise from the pot’s shoulder. Rays, dots, a rosette, ivy leaves and meander adorn the rest of the body as well as the handles and rim.
