Lekythos belonging to the Cock Group, decorated in the black-figure technique. It was found incomplete in 1957 at the Sanctuary of the Nymphe.

On the vase’s body Herakles is depicted capturing the Cretan bull in one of the labours assigned to him by Eurystheas. Behind the hero a warrior holding a circular shield and spear is witnessing the wrestle between Herakles and the beast. He is most likely Iolaus, Herakles helper and companion. The vase’s shoulder is decorated with a rooster among two ivy leaves.
