Part of a loutrophoros-hydria of the 4th cent. BC decorated in the red-figure technique and added figurines. It was found in 1957 in the Sanctuary of the Nymphe.

The body of the vase is decorated with a palmette, while below the black-painted handle there is an added female Tanagra figurine. The woman stands with her right leg slightly bended, wears a chiton and himation and was probably holding a fan. Her hair is parted in the middle and gathered in a low bun. Traces of white slip and black paint have been preserved on the figurine’s surface, whose front side has been made in a mould and only the head is compact. The figurine has no back side and was directly placed on the loutrophoros’ body.
