Part of a loutrophoros' body decorated in the red-figure technique. It was found in 1955 in the Sanctuary of the Nymphe in fragments, was reassembled and restored.

It depicts an epavlia scene with the bride receiving wedding gifts in her new house. She has a diadem on her hair and she accepts a kalathos filled with wool. This particular gift may constitute a reference to the young bride’s household duties. Across from her a winged Eros with a white headband holds a ribbon. Winged Erotes symbolise the couple’s union, while ribbons are a necessary decorative element in all of the stages of the three day long, wedding rituals.
