Part of a loutrophoros decorated in the red-figure technique. It was found in fragments in 1957 at the Sanctuary of the Nymphe and was pieced together.

It depicts a wedding scene. The bride stands with her eyes lowered, wearing a chiton and a veil that leaves her face and a few strands of her hair uncovered. A sphendone decorated with flowers holds her hair back. In front of the bride part of an Eros' wing can be seen, while behind her is a woman holding lit torches. In wedding scenes women carrying torches standing close to the bride can be identified as either her mother or the nympheutria. The torches, lit from the family hearth would protect the bride in her transition from her childhood home to her new oikos.
