Lower part of a loutrophoros decorated in the red-figure technique. It was found in fragments in 1955 at the Sanctuary of the Nymphe, was pieced together and restored.

It depicts a bride getting ready before the wedding. The young woman, after being dressed and groomed by her friends and family, is about to exit the women's chambers to join the wedding banquet. She checks her appearance in a mirror before she lowers her veil -already on her head- to cover her face. The nymphokomos next to her helps her by holding up the mirror in one hand, while with the other, she carries a small box. Behind her three more women participate in the bride’s preparation. One last woman wrapped in her himation and with her hair gather in a sakkos is depicted behind the bride.
