Statuette of a Kore found on the Acropolis. The right arm was made of a separate piece of marble.

The Kore wears a long-sleeved chiton and over it himation which passes obliquely below the left arm and is fastened over her right arm with small relief buttons. In her right hand she would have held an offering to the goddess whereas with her left she would have pulled her chiton aside to facilitate her steps. Her hairstyle must have been typical of the Archaic Korai and the preserved red colour may have been the undercoat over which the final hue was applied.
