Parts of a relief plaque that covered the base for a dedication. The different parts have been mended of many fragments and partly restored.

Eleven out of most possibly originally twelve women are depicted dancing. They are all wrapped in their himatia beneath which each one wears chiton. The first woman on the right is shown separately from the others, as if she is ahead, whereas the following four dance holding hands with the last one having placed her right hand on her hip. Behind them a figure is missing and then a second group of six women follows. They also dance holding hands whereas the last woman has her right hand on her waist.

What these women represent is unknown. Perhaps they are Nymphs or mortals who dance at one of the Athenian festivals dedicated to female deities.
