Deity, personification of the north wind. He was a son of the Titan Astraeus and Eos and lived in Thrace. Herodotos mentions that in 480 BC the Athenians asked for his help in their battle against the Persian fleet and after their victory, they founded an altar on the bank of Ilissos to honour him.
